Reason 1: Detroit by 4 or more

The Panthers put corners Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson on injured reserve Wednesday. Dave Canales on the timeline: “8-ish weeks, give or take, could be sooner, could be longer.” Rookie Will Lee III and Akayleb Evans move into the starting jobs. Chau Smith-Wade is the only other corner on the 53-man roster, and Robert Rochell was called up from the practice squad for the week.
